Shelving for your shed can be very easy to install or make yourself.
There are numerous shelving systems that can be purchased and installed in your shed. many of these options are metal wire shelves and plastic shelves. If you choose to make your own shelves out of wood and install them in your shed you can save a little bit of money while customizing the shelves till your heart's content. You might even be able to use up some of the scrap lumber you have left over from building your shed.
Here is one basic method of making shed shelving yourself out of wood.

First decide how wide and how long of shelving you want to build. You will need some 2'x4' lumber for the frame and some kind of shelf top. I recommend plywood of any type cdx or osb 3/8" or 1/2" should be strong enough to meet your shelving needs. Mark and cut both ends of the 2'x4' on a 45 degree angle, short to short or long to long depending on which one you measure. This will be your upright bracing for your shelf. you will need at least 2 of these identical for a 4' long shelf and one for every additional 4 feet of shelf length. If you plan on shelving very heavy items then use more braces. One brace every 2' or One brace every 16". Now cut out your right angle brace frame piece. A simple way to get this measurement without any calculations is to put your 45 degree upright piece up against the wall the way it will be installed inside the wall next to a wall stud and measure from the inside of the wall against the back side of the exterior sheathing all the way out to the end of the 45 degree upright piece you have all ready cut. Now that you have this measurement cut out one of these for every upright frame piece you have. These cuts should be cut out with square ends. Now that you have all your identical brace pieces cut out its time to cut out the front frame piece of your shed shelf. This piece goes across the front of the shelf like a band for extra strength. Cut a 2'x4' to the length you which to make your shelf. You now have all the shelf frame cut out and are ready to put them all together. Start by installing the 45 degree uprights by nailing or screwing then to the wall studs so they stand up on a 45 degree. Now attach the right angle top pieces to the wall studs at one end and to the 45 degree uprights on the other end. Then attach the front band piece. Make sure to attach this to all the braces. Now from the plywood measure, mark and cut out the shelving top and install.
