Shed Windows Are Very Easy To Install And Are Great For Extra Light!

Assuming when you framed your shed walls you allowed for the window with liners and a header for each window. Make sure that when you frame the windows into your shed walls you leave at least 1/8" extra space all the way around the actual opening larger than the windows actual size. I usually make my sides and top and bottom 1/2" larger in the frame than the window frame. This extra amount allows for play making it easy for you to install the window and allows for any shrinking and stretching your shed might make due to temperature and weather changes.

Installation

Remove all the manufacturing wrapping and packaging and place the window (right side up an out) into the framed window hole. Center it up with an equal reveal all the way around. With a level check it for level and plumb. Now that you are sure about the windows placement screw it off or with galvanized nails nail it off firmly by using the windows flange. The flange is the metal or vinyl strip that runs around the window. Be careful to not miss and break the window. Check the manufactures installation guide if provided. I recommend 1 nail in every corner and 1 nail every 1' on the sides/ top and bottom.

Trim

Now you can trim your window out. Depending on what kind of sheathing you are using on your shed (hardy board or vinyl) you will probably want to use wood. I use pressure treated 2"x4". Measure, cut out and install the trim boards to go around the out side of the window. This will cover the windows flange, and give you something to caulk or seal to the sheathing.
